Embarking on a hiking therapy journey is like stepping into a wonderland where nature plays the role of the ultimate therapist.
Picture this: you, surrounded by towering trees that whisper ancient secrets, and a trail that winds through the landscape like a meandering story waiting to be discovered.
The benefits? Oh, they're as abundant as the wildflowers that dot the landscape.
First, there's the joyous dance between fresh air and your lungs, a tango that leaves you feeling invigorated and alive.
Then, there's the gentle cadence of your footsteps, a rhythmic heartbeat syncopated with the earth's pulse, grounding you in the present moment.
As you navigate the twists and turns, the worries of the everyday world seem to melt away, replaced by a sense of playful exploration and curiosity.
Conversations flow effortlessly, unburdened by the constraints of four walls, and revelations bloom like hidden treasures along the trail.
Hiking therapy isn't just a stroll in the woods; it's an invitation to rediscover yourself in the embrace of nature's open arms, where healing and adventure intertwine in the most delightful of ways.
Hiking therapy takes us outdoors and uses present moment experiences in nature to improve our mental health and wellbeing. Your safety is really important to us. So before we head off onto the trails we need to ensure that this type of therapy is right for you.
Consultation - Your journey with us will commence with a consultation call.

Generally, your first appointment will occur in a local park where we are able to talk about your goals for counselling, start working on the fundamentals (relationship building, skill development, resource development) and develop a plan for our work together.
The location of your subsequent appointments will be determined by your goals of counselling, your interests and your plan.
Periodically, we will seek feedback from you about your counselling experience to ensure that it is meeting your needs and expectations.
Please reach us at theoutdoorsclinic@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
You will need to wear clothes that are comfortable to walk in, comfortable shoes or boots and bring water, snacks, sunscreen. It is also a good idea to bring a notebook and pen to each session.
During our consultation call and your first session, we will discuss how we will maintain your confidentiality. Generally, routes and meeting locations are chosen with intention to avoid being overheard by others.
