Northbrook Mountain is high a wet sclerophyll forest. The climb affords extensive views looking south across the England Creek catchments and is covered in mountain heath, where wildflowers bloom between winter and spring. From Mount Glorious Road, the mountain is accessed via Lawton Road (fire road). Along the 4hr walk, we will take in the beautiful subtropical rainforest and wet sclerophyll scenery. Given the present trail conditions, this trail is considered moderate to hard and requires a moderate level of fitness. The trail is considered off-trail and will require physical exertion including stepping up on rocks, rock scrambling, moving across loose gravel, and exposure to heights and open edges. The trail is 10 km out and back.
